Nannay Bhattaraka is the earliest known Telugu writer and the author of the first third of the Andhra Mahabharatam, a Telugu retelling of the Mahabharata.The Telugu version of the Mahabharata was written by Kavithrayam (Trinity of poets), consisting of Nannay,Tikkan and Yerrapragada.
