Solution:

The midpoint B(3, 4) C(–1, 5) is

D(1,9/2)

∴ Length of the median

A(2,-3),D(1,9/2)

=√{(2-1)^{2}+(\;{9}/{2}+3)^{2}}

=√{1+\;{225}/{4}}

=√{\;{229}/{4}}
