Given that,

x+ 1/y= 1

⇒

xy+ 1 = y

.....(i)
and

y+1/z = 1

⇒

1-1/z=y

⇒

{z-1}/z=y

.....(ii)
From eq. (ii),

y={z-1}/z

Comparing eqn. (i) with (ii)

xy+ 1 ={z-1}/z

⇒

xyz+z =z-1

⇒

xyz =-1
