The ratio of two numbers is 3 : 4 and their HCF is 5.Their LCM is:

Solution:

If the numbers be 3x and 4x, then
HCF = x = 5
∴ Number = 15 and 20
∴ LCM

= 12x = 12 × 5 = 60

Alternate Method:
If two numbers are in the form of 3x and 4x then their
L.C.M

= 3 ×4 × x

= 3 × 4 × 5 = 60
