Solution:

Speed of downstream

=\;{60}/{7.5} × 1=8 {km}/{h}

Speed of upstream

=5 {km} {/} {h}

Speed of boat in still water

=\;{1}/{2}

(Speed of downstream + Speed of upstream)

=\;{8+5}/{2}=\;{13}/{2}=6 \;{1}/{2} {km} {/} {h}
