What is the cost price?

Solution:

Here, selling price of the article

=₹ 15000

Discount

=10 \%

Then, new selling price

=15000-15000 × \;{10}/{100}

=15000-1500=₹ 13500

Now, Profit

=8 \%

∵

Cost Price

=\;{\;\text " Selling Price "\; × 100}/{100+\;\text " Profit "\; \%}

∴

Cost Price

=\;{13500 × 100}/{108}=125 × 100=₹ 12500
