. If the number of girls in the class is 20 , then what is the number of boys in the class?

Solution:

Let the number of boys in the class be

=20

According to the question,

18(B+20) \;\; =20 × B+20 × 15

⇒ 18 B+360 \;\; =20 B+300

⇒ 2 B \;\; =60

∴ B \;\; =30
