⇒ $3{\mathit{x}}^2$ + 6x + x + 2 = 0
⇒ 3x (x + 2) + 1 (x + 2) = 0
⇒ (3x + 1) (x + 2) = 0
⇒ x = $-\frac{1}{3}$ or - 2
II. ${\mathit{y}}^2$ + 5y + 6 = 0
⇒ ${\mathit{y}}^2$ + 3y + 2y + 6 = 0
⇒ y (y + 3) + 2 (y + 3) = 0
⇒ (y + 2) (y + 3) = 0
⇒ y = - 2 or - 3
