Let 5 years ago age of his son be x years
5 years ago age of Abhi = 7x
According to the question
7x + x = 40
⇒ 8x = 40
⇒ x = 40/8
⇒ x = 5
5 years ago age of Abhi = 5 × 7 = 35 years
Present age of Abhi = 35 + 5 = 40 years
∴ Age of Abhi after 5 years = 40 + 5 = 45 years
