How many sides does a regular polygon have if its each angle is of measure 108°?

Solution:

Each interior angle of a regular polygon

=\;\;{({n}-2)180}/{{n}}

According to the question

\;\;{({n}-2)180}/{{n}}=108

......(given)

⇒180n-360=108n

⇒180n-108n=360

⇒72n=360

∴n=\;\;{360}/{72}=5

Hence, number of sides in regular polygon is 5.
