Let x be the angle which is equal to its complement and y be the angle which is equal to its supplement. Then, 2x + 3y is equal to

Solution:

Let complement angle of x be m

x=m

.....(given)

x+m=90

⇒x+x=90^{∘}

∴x=90/2=45°

Now let, supplement angle of y be n

y=n

...(given)

y+n=180°

⇒y+y=180°

y=\;\;{180}/{2}=90°

Hence,

2x+3y=2×45+3×90=90+270=360°
