(d) Let d be the distance, x be the speed of Tina andy be the speed of car, respectively.
Then, $\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{x}}+\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{y}}=6$
and$\frac{2\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{y}}=3.....\left(\mathit{i}\right)$
⇒$\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{y}}=\frac{3}{2}$
Put the value of $\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{y}}$ in Eq. (i) , we get $\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{x}}+\frac{3}{2}=6$
⇒$\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{x}}=6-\frac{3}{2}=\frac{12-3}{2}=\frac{9}{2}$
Now total time taken to walk = $\frac{2\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{x}}=2\times \frac{9}{2}=9\mathrm{hours}$
