(b) $\frac{3\mathit{x}-\mathit{y}+1}{3}$ = $\frac{2\mathit{x}+\mathit{y}+2}{5}$
⇒ 9x - 8y = 1 ..........(i)

⇒ $\frac{2\mathit{x}+\mathit{y}+2}{5}$ = $\frac{3\mathit{x}+2\mathit{y}+1}{6}$
⇒ 6 (2x + y + 2) = 5 (3x + 2y + 1)
⇒ 3x + 4y = 7 ..........(ii)
On multiplying Eq. (ii) by 2 and then adding to Eq.(i), we get
x = 1
On putting x = 1 in Eq. (i), we get
9(1) - 8y = 1
∴ y = 1
