Solution:

Let the total work be 120 units. Efficiency of A and B

= 120/24 = 5

units

⇒ A + B = 5

Efficiency of B and C

= 120/30 = 4

units
⇒ B + C = 5
Given

A=2C

C = 1 ⇒ B = 3

The required answer is

120/3 = 40

days
