y = 3 $x$ – 4
y = 2 $x^{ 2}$ – 40
$x$ = 2 $y^{ 2}$ – 40
y = 2 $x^{ 2}$ + 3 $x$ – 19
$x$ = 2 $y^{ 2}$ + 3 $y$ – 19

Solution:

(e) In the graph, y-axis is horizontal and x-axis is vertical (opposite of convention). The graph cuts y-axis at two places. Hence, it will be quuadratic equation for y. In the graph, at y = 0, the value of x is near to (– 20)
Hence, requried equation is x = 2y
