The Kyoto Protocol is an international treaty based on 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It was adopted on 11th December, 1997, and came into force on 16th February, 2005. All member countries are committed to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions to tackle challenges of global warming.
