Given:
8 men can do a piece of work in 24 days
12 women can do a piece of work in 24 days
Concept Used:
Work = Efficiency × Time Calculation:
Since 8 men can do a piece of work in 24 days
And 12 women can do a piece of work in 24 days
Efficiency of 8Men= Efficiency of 12 Women =x( let )
Now, Total work =x×24=24x units . . . (i)
Now, (8 Men +12 Women) together work
So, Combined efficiency =x+x=2x‌‌−−-(ii)
From (i) and (ii), we get
Total time to complete the work by (8M+12W)=24x÷2x=12 days
∴ The required time to complete the work by 8 Men and 12 Women together is 12 days.
