Promotion of scientific temper, humanity and the spirit of inquiry and reform is a fundamental duty under Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution. Seen in conjunction with Directive Principle under Article 47, it stresses that it is through education that a citizen can acquire and develop, “scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform”.
