(c) Reservation of seats in Panchayat elections for Scheduled Castes shall not apply to the State of Arunachal Pradesh. Article 243D provides for the reservation of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes in every Panchayat. Arunachal Pradesh is a State inhabited fully by indigenous tribal people and no Scheduled Castes exist in the State. So, there is no reservation of seats for the Scheduled Castes in the State Legislative Assembly.
