Let the Present Age of Sunita = x years
∴ Present Age of Anil = 2x years
Now,Age of Sunita before 3 years = (x – 3) years
and Age of Anil before 3 years = (2x – 3) years
According to questions
2x – 3 = 3 (x – 3)
⇒ 2x – 3 = 3x – 9
⇒ 2x – 3x= – 9 + 3
⇒ – x = – 6
⇒ x = 6
Hence, Present Age of Anil = 2x = 2 × 6 = 12 years
