What is the minimum number of square tiles required to pave a floor of dimensions 24.78 meters x 22.26 meters?

Solution:

To have the minimum number of tiles to be paved, side of the tile = HCF of (24.78, 22.26), i.e., 0.42 m
Hence the required number of tiles

=\;{24.78}/{0.42} × \;{22.26}/{0.42}

=59 × 53,

i.e. 3127
