The number of positive integers between 1 and 2087 that are divisible by 31 is:

Solution:

When 2087 is divided by 31 the remainder is 10
∴ 31, 62, 93, ….. 2077 is an arithmetic progression

2077 = 31 + (n – 1) 31 ⇒ n = 67

There are 67 numbers between 1 and 2087 which are divisible by 31.
