The area of the quadrilateral with vertices

(x_{1}, y_{1}),(x_{2}, y_{2})(x_{3}, y_{3})

and

(x_{4}, y_{4})

=\;{1}/{2}|\table x_{1}-x_{3} , x_{2}-x_{4} ; y_{1}-y_{3} , y_{2}-y_{4}|

=\;{1}/{2}|\table 2-(-1) , 4-(-3) ; -1-2 , 3-(-2)|

=\;{1}/{2}|\table 3 , 7 ; -3 , 5|=\;{1}/{2}(15+21)

=18
