Solution:

[\table -1,2;1,-1][\table x;y]

[\table 4;5]

∴ X=A^{-1} ⋅ B=\;{1}/{1-2}(\table -1 , -2 ; -1 , -1 )(\table 4 ; 5 )

∴(\table x ; y )=(\table 14 ; 9 ) ; x=14, y=9

and

3 x-4 y=42-36=6
