Solution:

Let the number of 50 paise coins be n.
⇒ the number of 25 paise coins be (100-n)
The total value of coins = ₹ 45 = 4,500 paise.
Given

50×n+25×(100-n)=4,500

⇒50n+2500-25n=4500

⇒n=80
