Solution:

Let 3A = 4B = 7C = 84K (84 is the LCM of 3, 4 and 7)
⇒ A = 28K, B = 21K and C = 12K
Also given

A + B + C = 427

⇒ 28 K+21 K+12 K=427

⇒ 61 K=427 ⇒ K=7

The required answer,

A = 28K = 28 × 7 = 196
