The ratio of the present ages of A and B is 2:3. B is 6 years older than A. The ratio of their aaes after 8 years will be?

Solution:

Let the present ages of A and B be 2k and 3k respectively.
Given,

3k = 2k + 6⇒k = 6

Hence the required ratio of ages of A and B after 8 years i.e.

= (12 + 8) : (18 + 8)

i.e.,

= 10 : 13
