Solution:

\lim ↙{x → 1} \;{x^{2}-5 x+4}/{x^{2}-3 x+2}

=\lim ↙{x → 1} \;{(x-1)(x-4)}/{(x-1)(x-2)}

=\lim ↙{x → 1} \;{x-4}/{x-2}=\;{1-4}/{1-2}=3
