Solution:

Let m and w represent 1 day’s work of a man and a woman respectively

10m+15w=1/6

....(i)

12m+27w=1/4

...(ii)
(ii) – (i) gives,

2m+12w=1/12

∴ 2 men and 12 women can complete the work in 12 days.
