Solution:

Ratio of work of a man and a woman = 1 :

3/4

= 4 : 3
Ratio of their time taking = 3 : 4
Hence, 4 women = 3 men
∴ 8 women = 6 men
Now, 10 men + 8 women = 10 men + 6 men = 16 men
Again, 12 men can complete the work in 36 days
Hence, 16 men will complete the work in

{12×36}/{16}

= 27 days.
