Let initially the price of sirgao ways ₹ 100/kg.
then, after increase,
Price of 1 kg sugar = ₹ 120
when, expenditure increases by 5%
then, new expenditure = 100 + 5 = 105
Amount of sugar one can purchase in ₹ 105

{1000}/{120}×105

= 875 gram
Hence, Percent decrease in counsumption
=

= 12.5%
