Solution:

Let fix charge is ₹ x and variable charge/km is ₹ y
ATQ,
x + 10y = 150 ... (i)
and x + 15y = 220 ... (ii)
from (i) and (ii) 5y = 220-150 = 70
y =

{70}/5

= ₹ 14/km
so, x + 10 x 14 = 150
x = 150 - 140 = ₹ 10
Hence, charge for 25 km
= x + 25y = 10 + 25 x 14
= ₹ 360
