Some spherical balls of diameter 2.8 cm are dropped into a cylindrical container containing some water and are fully submerged The diameter of the container is 14 cm. Find how many balls have been dropped in it if the water rises by 11.2 cm.

Solution:

Volume of water level raised = total volume of spherical balls

π×7^2×11.2

n×4/3×π×1.4^3

Solving for ‘n’, we get ‘n’ = 150
So, 150 balls have been dropped in the container.
