Solution:

Let the given number be x.
Then,

( x × { 3 } /{ 2 } \) - ( {x} ÷ {{ 3 }/ { 2 } }) = 10

{ 3 } /{ 2 } × - { 2 } /{ 3 } x = 10 { 9 x - 4 x } /{ 6 } = 10

⇒ 5x = 10 ⇒ x = 12
