Determine the capacitive susceptence (in Siemens) of a circuit if the capacitance of the circuit is 0.08 mF and supplied with a 50 Hz frequency.

Solution:

Given data
C = 0.08 mf
f = 50Hz
Now capacitive susceptance = ωC = 2πfC [∵ ω = 2πf]
= 2 × 3.14 × 50 × 0.08 × 10

= 0.025 siemens.
