(i) Two successive discounts of 20%each
(ii) Two successive discounts of 30% and 10%

Calculations:
For scheme (i):

\;S=1500 ×(1-20 \/ 100) ×(1-20 \/ 100)

\;⇒ S=1500 × 0.8 × 0.8

\;⇒ S=1500 × 0.64

\;⇒ S=₹ 960

For scheme (ii):

\;S=1500 ×(1-30 \/ 100) ×(1-10 \/ 100)

\;⇒ S=1500 × 0.7 × 0.9

\;⇒ S=1500 × 0.63

\;⇒ S=₹ 945

Difference in sale price

=960-945
