Find the volume of the cuboid if the surface areas of its three coterminous faces are

12 cm^2, 15 cm^2, 20 cm^2,

respectively.

Validate

Solution:

(3) Let l, b and h be the length,breadth and height of the cuboid,respectively.
According to the question,
l × b = 12
b × h = 15 and
l × h = 20
l =12/b; 12h = 20b ⇒3h=5b
⇒ l = 4 cm, b = 3 cm and h = 5 cm
∴ Required volume of cuboid

= l × b × h = 4 × 3 × 5 = 60 cm^3
