Solution:

(3) Let the other parallel side of thetrapezium be x m.
Area of trapezium

= 1/2×

(sum ofparallel sides) × (distance betweenparallel sides)

⇒1480 =1/2×(23 +x)×80

⇒ 37 = 23 + x

⇒x =14m
