Solution:

(1)

{√8-3}/{√8+3}=3a√8-b

Rationalising, we get,

{√8-3}/{√8+3}={√8-3}/{√8+3}×{√8-3}/{√8-3}

={8+9-6√8}/{8-9}

6√8-17=3a√8-b

By comparing LHS and RHS, we get,3a = 6 and b = 17∴a = 2
