Solution:

(1) Total number of cars (petrol &diesel) sold by

S_2 and S_6 together= (0.17 + 0.13) × 8400 = 2520

Total number of diesel cars sold by

S_3

and

S_7

together = (0.11 + 0.15)× 4500 = 1170
Required percentage

=1170/2520×100 = 46.42
