(2) Let L and B be the length andbreadth of a rectangle, respectively.Then
2(L + B) = 118
⇒ L + B = 59 ……………………....(1)
Also, LB = 828 ……………………..(2)
From (1) and (2), we get:
L = 36 cm and B = 23 cm
Length of square = 2L = 2 × 36= 72 cm
Perimeter of square = 4 × 72= 288 cm
