If 2.5 x = 0.02y, then what is the value of

{y- x }/{y +x} ?

Solution:

(1) 2.5 x = 0.02y ⇔ y = 125x

∴{y – x}/{y + x}={125x – x}/{125x + x}=124/126=62/63
