The average height of 20 boys is 2.4 m. When 4 boys leave the camp, the average height decreases by 0.4 m. What is the average height of the 4 boys who leave?

Validate

Solution:

(1) Sum of heights of 20 boys= (20 × 2.4) = 48 m
Sum of heights of 16 boys= (16 × 2) = 32 m
Sum of heights of boys who left= (48 – 32) m = 16 m
Average height of 4 boys

=16/4= 4
