Water is flowing at the rate of 15 km/hr through a cylindrical pipe of diameter 14 cm in to a rectangular tank which is 50 m long and 44 m wide. In how many hours will the water level in the tank raise by 21 cm?

Solution:

Speed of water = 15 km/hr
= 15000 m/hr
Radius of pipe = 7 cm
Let T hr needed to get the required quantity of water

π × r^2 × T ×S = lbh

22/7×(7/100)^2×T×15000

=50×44×21/100

T = 2 hour
