Solution:

Let Cost price = Rs. x
Selling price = Rs. 1250
⇒ Loss % =

{x−1250}/x×100=7

⇒

{x−1250}/x =7/100

⇒

100x − 125000 = 7x

⇒

x = 125000 /93 ≈1344

selling price = Rs. 1375
⇒ Profit % =

{1375− 1344} /1344×100

≈ 2.3%
