Slope of line $\mathit{a}\mathit{x}+\mathit{b}\mathit{y}+\mathit{c}=0$ is $-\frac{\mathit{a}}{\mathit{b}}$
⇒ Slope of line $\mathit{y}=2\mathit{x}+3$ $\Rightarrow 2\mathit{x}-\mathit{y}+3=0$
⇒ Slope = $\frac{-2}{-1}=0$
Product of slopes of two perpendicular lines = -1
Let slope of line $\mathit{l}=\mathit{m}$
⇒ $\mathit{m}\times 2=-1$
⇒ $\mathit{m}=-\frac{1}{2}$
Now, equation of line having slope and passing through $\left({\mathit{x}}_1,{\mathit{y}}_1\right)$ is $\left(\mathit{y}-{\mathit{y}}_1\right)=\mathit{m}\left(\mathit{x}-{\mathit{x}}_1\right)$
⇒ $\left(\mathit{y}-0\right)=-\frac{1}{2}\left(\mathit{x}+5\right)$
⇒ $2\mathit{y}=-\mathit{x}-5$
⇒ $\mathit{x}+2\mathit{y}=-5$
