The smallest angle of a triangle is 40° less than the largest angle. If the largest angle is 80°, then findthe third angle of the triangle.

Solution:

Largest angle of triangle = 80°
⇒ Smallest angle = 80° - 40° = 40°
Let third angle = θ
Thus, sum of the three angle =

θ + 80° + 40°= 180°

θ = 180 ° − 120 °= 60 °
