Khangchendzonga National Park is India's first 'Mixed World Heritage Site' on UNESCO's World Heritage list. It was granted this tag in the year 2016. The park is named after the mountain Khangchendzonga, which is the third-highest peak in the world at$8586\mathrm{m}$ (28169 ft) tall. The total area of the park is $849.5{\mathrm{km}}^2$. The park contains many mammal species including musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, dhole, sloth bear, etc.
