Solution:

Given, area of the rectangle

=a^{2}-b^{2}=(a+b)(a-b)

Length of the rectangle

=a+b

∴ Breadth of the rectangle

={{ \Area }}/{{ \Length }}

={(a+b)(a-b)}/{(a+b)}=(a-b)
