. Find the length of the field.

Solution:

Let the length and breadth of rectangle be

5 x {\m}

and

2 x {\m}

respectively.
Now, we know that
Perimeter

=2

width

)

238=2(5 x+2 x)

238=2 \× 7 x

x={238}/{14}

x=17 {\m}

∴ Length of rectangle

=5 x=5 \×17=85 {\m}
